Looks like plastic to me. Or ceramic in style of wood.

This really killed a wish to run local LLMs. So fiddly…
T480, a gentelman and a scholar

True, similar here. I go to coworking space to eat lunch in the commom area and talk to people.

Why? I’m not sure what am I missing?

I have FP6 /e/OS since last November. In begining I noticed issues with battery usage but the issues are resolved now. Banking works for me. And that is pretty much it. I like not having spyware in my pocket, nice feeling :)

You probably aren’t safe from Pegasus but at least you are not streaming your location and IRL contacts to Google 24/7.

It’s weird but not uncommon. There are lots of weird people out there. You’ll have company.

Looking as an outsider they are the same in terms of children killing. Foreign policy is pretty tight among parties it seems.

Its fedi being fedi. If you are outspoken public figure you should simply run your own or be perfectly aligned with the admin. This dynamic is probably why Bluesky managed to capture so much people.
In theory everything is possible because only Apple/Google+OEMs are running root on your device.

Sooo instead you will be required to pay by card and thus have your identity proven by financial institutions behind? Big ooof.

So Chinese automakers cannot import because they rather stay out of market than turn off connectivity?

Its definitly not chilled and relaxed. But I still like it

Niche subreddits were the only worthwhile thing there. Lemmy completley superseded it in terms of FOSS. Other niches can follow.

I think that it was just the last 30 years being an anomaly. In Europe you had lots of very interesting stuff happening pre WW2. Also pre WW1 was calm just briefly. After WW2 you had communist revolutions in the east which took a while, then in the west you had Basques, Northern Ireland, extremists in Italy and Germany doing interesting happenings. And decolonization struggle in the rest of the world. All very eventful. Real calm for Europe came after end of cold war up until 2014 Ukraine. And that is if you disregard the wars in ex Yugoslavia that was ongoing for 10 years! And included eventful things like a genocide and several ethnic expulsions. So maybe real calm was for all in all 14 years in the 21st century…not to say that Middle East was anything but calm in that period. And that Russia ended its civil war circa 2008 and invaded Georgia that same year. That leaves us with 6 whole consecutive years of calm on European continent.

I preferred pen and paper for note taking, didn’t take notes on laptop for CS uni even. But having instruction material in digital form wins imo. Bulky exercise books are not worth it imo. I suspect publishers prefer those for beefy books for other reasons…but I would not be surprised if for lower elementary school exercise books with lots of images and fun exercises have positive impact.
Wasn’t Asahi Lina alter ego of marcan? Or am I misremembering things
