“sighting sources”
No proofreading skills.
No.
And you’re trying way too hard to defend it. Just stop.

That’ll do it. But given its usage, I always think it’s funny when it (or some other key word) happens, given it kinda derails their point.

I find it hilarious that “thorough” is what got typo’d there.
A little ironic.
Nope. Straight up total shutdown. Nothing else can even begin to happen until that’s squared away.
All current models and training data should be purged completely, to be restarted with it’s revival. But with proper guardrails.
People need to stop shrugging at the current theft and just accepting it, and force a total purge (and have it proven, right down to the secret corners of all people in charge’s private drives) of ALL current data (even data they were permitted to have).
They were let out on the Internet quickly to avoid potential legal guardrails being put in place first, and they should honestly be in jail just for that. On top of new penalties on yet-to-be-written laws. Which normally shouldn’t be done, but when they’ve been involved in the biggest spy op ever even dreamed of, then fuck their protections. If they wanna complain they just have to step out of the waiting line and report to the nearest suicide booth, fucking cry about it otherwise.
Probably, but given that AI is terrible in every other way as well, it doesn’t matter. And if will never get close enough to be worth it.
Even if every image was perfect and every reply was perfect, it still wouldn’t make it any good.
Given that capitalism exists, the better it gets at doing what it’s intended for, it makes the other problems far worse.
Right now the absolute best I can say for it (and even this is a huge stretch) is making some menial, non problematic tasks more convenient, and creating certain images easier (aka this post).
Actual AI (not this garbage generative kind like GPT) can be helpful for accessibility that assists people with disabilities, or translation.
But literally everything about the common ones typically discussed is 100% bad.
EVEN IF there are tiny benefits, none of them outweigh even a single problem, much less all of it. And the more it improves, the bigger a problem it becomes, until capitalism ends to take profit out of the list of motivations for it.
It’s also being used to write code, so it’s causing actual damage to software development, too.
Another thing, the better it becomes at everything, the less it seems worthwhile for people to get into any of the fields it’s replacing, and since skilled human output will always be better than AI output, the reasons are pretty obvious.
I’m a perfect world, making a bear perfect AI would free people up to pursue their own passions with more time to dedicate to them. But this can never happen under capitalism, ever. And seeing that no one alive’s descendants down to 10 generations loving to see are likely to see even a glimpse of that possibility starting to change, then it should be completely and entirely scrapped and banned until such time that it becomes even a potential possiblity of any actual benefit at ALL.
And shilling for consoles. Blech

And that’s great for you. But had nothing to do with what I said as the original answer.
So clean your digital ears out a bit, and maybe repetition (with free bonus expansion) will help.
The point was specifying Elon’s particular flavor of oppression.
Had nothing to do with speaking Lemmy controversy, or hinting that one kind of racism was worse than another.
Hoping you get the point now.

So you can’t read I guess.
No, is because it’s total shit. Local-only ones can have some useful application for accessibility, but literally ALL generative LLMs are 100% bad, forever, always.
They add zero actual benefit, and huge amounts of issues.

The entire point of that is exposing his prejudices. I don’t know how you miss that kinda thing.
It has absolutely nothing to do with their Lemmy account, or the controversy.
This is not funny enough to justify using AI.

I think you have a severe case of intentionally distorting analogies and metaphors. That’s twice.

The ones installing cameras do point it at cars. The analogy still checks out.
Don’t act like the person pulling the trigger is the only one to blame in the process.

And how many lives get directly fucked because of each individual camera?
Would you not shoot a Nazi installing miniguns around the top of the white house? Sure, there’s “being forced into the machine”, but actively settng up their weapons is definitely at least one step too far.

Now kiss.

Everybody should take down all of them.
Almost willing to say hang out there for the guy to come replace it and beat him just shy of disablement.
That’s a little severe, but stupidity should be a crime. And with a job like that you’re either a bad guy or a stupid good guy. Or if your forced to work there somehow, you should be dismantling it from within.

I kinda think that’s hilarious and how everyone that bought these go broke. Maybe at least someone will finally learn something then.
I fucking get annoyed when I see it spelled “come”.
It’s just not the right word (I guess it technically can be used in the “to get there” sense, but that seems like really stretching it, especially given that it typically refers to ejaculation, not orgasm).
I don’t know the origin of how “cum” came around, but to me it’s always seemed like the world’s most common typo that everyone is too busy to fix because they only have one hand to type and hold their phone.
Can we all just agree to spell it “cum” consistently?
