You won’t find me defending Clinton he was a Regan Democrat. But there was still opposition and resistance and it was still enshrined in our country. After 9/11 it became you are either a patriot or an enemy and the dem party followed lock step until the emergence of the progressive out growth of the dem party. I’m not saying that it was just the Dems. It fundamentally changed the permanent attitude of the core of the county and gave us the patriot act and citizens united which have been the fast position coursing through our system of government.

There is what you are talking about and then there is the reality of the sexual assault crisis in America. I understand what you are saying. But the reality of the situation is that people who step forward should be given the benefit of the doubt because of the evidence and history of sexual violence especially towards children and women being ignored in the United States and the absolute miscarriage of justice that is. The balance as it stands now is hardly any of rape or sexual misconduct allegations are taken seriously or even investigated.

Just look at our president and his history with abusing minors and adults basically all out in the open for decades. That is the state of justice with regards to sexual assault in the U.S.

There is not an epidemic of people losing their jobs or becoming social pariahs because of false rape claims. There is an epidemic of sexual violence against children and women and men in the United States. No one is convicted because someone just claims they have been assaulted.

9/11 fundamentally changed the math and brought us back to the McCarthy era which Regan and as most defiantly a part of. What 9/11 did was turn the Dem party into Republican light and it has never moved back.

Regan is surely the reason for the season but what 9/11 did to America was hit at the fundamentals of its soul and made itself its number one enemy. Osama Bin Laden staged the most successful attack in the history of America because it made America completely abandon our constitution and paved the way, along with reality tv, directly to where we are as a country today. A mess of hatred and dominated by the tyrant of the minority without any hope in sight.

I see what you are saying. I would hope that they wouldn’t switch to begging for transparency. Progressives have very little power at the moment because they have to fight Dems alongside the establishment Dems and republicans and maga and the libertarians. I doubt that they would back track on that considering it’s such a fixture of the platform despite the dnc’s stupidity.

I can see how my statement might have been a little confusing. I would absolutely love to see a global ban of advertising in space coupled with rockets that automatically fire and take out any space billboards that are snuck up there.

Generally progressives have a bit more of a spine and dig deeper into things. I don’t see this as a bad thing when the entirety of the Dem party is more aligned with republicans than progressives. I would expect the centrist Dems to talk about transparency in the way you are talking about it. The progressive bloc in the U.S. is absolutely not in favor of supplying or funding the genocide perpetrated by Israel of the Palestinians.
