minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink4•4 months agoDuolingo is good for “tourist style” language learning, where you learn some phrases, can recognise and read a few words, etc, but next to no chance of actually pulling off a proper conversation with a local.
Should use HelloChinese instead tbh. Duolingo is more like a game than a language learning app.
