Kiddos love tasks like that I think because they don’t really have a grasp of larger concepts, smaller projects are very rewarding
Yeah for sure, kids “work” all the time and it’s good to teach them to help and pitch in and do a job right. I give my kid chores and so on, all good. About this picking up dimes thing, the kids would love it and all tell the story about how they helped out in the funny event from then on.

Imo there’s a difference between “a kid having a job”: your 10 year old is helping on the farm, feeding the chickens, picking apples, etc.
And “child labour”: your 10 year old Is working 10 hour days sewing sneakers for Nike.
This as a one time. you pick it, you can keep it kind of deal would be awesome for the kids.
