One of my kids wants to buy Minecraft Java for the family shared MacMini.

Is it possible for siblings to share it using different local MacOS accounts? Do they need to all share the same MS accounts, or is it possible to share one local install with multiple MS accounts?

Anything else I should be aware of on install? I’ve never played Minecraft so IDK what to ask.

You can just install minecraft on all three Mac accounts, and set up the same microsoft account on every account. This will prevent them from having their ‘own’ game on some servers, as the items and things you do on a server are linked to a certain account.

If your kids just want to build some things in singleplayer and have fun doing that, a single microsoft account on all MacOS accounts will work great.

I think stuff on servers will carry across I’m afraid
