I was watching a video that featured a Negimaru 120 and it has a really interesting drive(?). It’s a vegetable slicer

Using auto translate, it came up with “joint wire” that led me nowhere. I know it’s basically like a flexible drill extension, but what is that action actually technically called?

    Thank you! Yeah the only term I could think of was worm drive but after looking that clearly wasn’t it

    The initial video I saw them moving the “wire” and figured it was electric but then I noticed it was moving as the handle turned so I looked up a video about the device specifically

    I understood what it does but yeah the application of it was really cool. Made me think of it as mechanical circuitry
