This summer, Meta began taking requests to delete data from its AI training. Artists say this new system is broken and fake. Meta says there is no opt-out program.

    Nobody should believe that they ever really delete anything.

    They pretend.

    If you want your data deleted, you need to get hold of their harddisks and their backups first, and then you delete it.

    I filled out a request, and got a response weeks later saying that they couldn’t do anything unless I could show that my data had been used.
