This is a GOOD TAKE by YOU. The big danger on puts is that you can AT MOST make 100% of the investment if the company collapses completely to $0. If, for whatever reason (the market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent), the stock explodes upwards, you can be on the hook for WAY more than 100% if the stock increases dramatically.

I don’t strictly disagree, but it’s harder for Americans to properly protest when they may be killed or jailed for a peaceful protest vs, say, France, where farmers literally coated government buildings with shit and their non-militarized police just went “well of course, that’s their right!” Meanwhile, when German press went to the US to cover the George Floyd protests, police shot at them, even though they were well identified, cooperative members of the press.

Absolute security is achievable, but comes with costs. If I’m willing to airgap everything and never go online, only using my own code, my device will be safe.

Black box testing is MUCH harder than white box testing, especially as, and I hate to say it, AI based security scanners become better and better at identifying flaws in source code. Having more information about your target is always the first step in penetration testing, and more information is ALWAYS better.

It’s not like MIT and the Harvard business review have published studies that have shown that AI is actually best suited to replacing executives and management in order to flatten organizations. But unfortunately, management and executives make the decisions on who AI replaces, and they don’t want to be replaced. Hell at the company I’m at right now they’ve been axing low level workers and bringing on or promoting the ladder climbers (read: AI sycophants who do the least work) to manager or department head roles, saying that us grunts can “10x” to fill the gaps, and that all we need is good and creative leadership to direct our AI use. I could go off on things this business is doing to shoot itself in the foot for hours, even without mentioning AI

This. And chromebooks are glorified tablets. Much less capable than a proper laptop, much less for a child to learn than a proper laptop. Google did MASSIVE pushing to get chromebooks into the classroom to get kids hooked on their platform as early as possible

Agreed. Fear and Hunger has it’s issues and I would not broadly recommend it to anyone. I would also say that the FREQUENCY of sexual assault in the game, and the presence of some weirdly sexual status effects like anal bleeding are a bit overboard. That being said, when one of the earliest enemies can sexually assault you, or maim your character in a way that leaves you able to keep playing, but effectively crippled, it really nails home not just that the world is dark, but that your assumptions about what is in the game don’t apply here. Anything could happen. REALLY anything. And exploring a harsh, hostile world with that expectation set is one of the best parts of the game, because it’s a unique experience that you just can’t get at that quality anywhere else.
