  • Our identities and labels are something for ourselves to decide. There are no rules that forces any labels on you. You can be homosexual if you feel that fits you. Other might be bisexual or pansexual. Or you can still consider yourself heterosexual.

Your sexuality is not determined by the identity of others. Your partner changing their identity or sexuality does not change your sexuality. Remember, it is just a label. A label is meant to be descriptive of you and allow easier communication of how you see yourself.

Pick a label that you think makes sense for you. Don’t let others decide it for you based on their identity.

I should mention that likewise your sexuality does not determine your partner’s identity. You can be heterosexual and be attracted to him. The label does not change reality. It is just a general descriptor.

Its just a fucking label, it doesn’t strictly have to ‘make sense’ in every context. Just describe you in general.

  • I just hope it does not end up like video games, where they can sell an unfinished product and patch it later.

Too late. This is already the case, I don’t know of a single EV that wasn’t buggy on release and still buggy a year or two afterwards as the manufacturer hunts bugs in a leisurely pace. It already is like in the gaming industry. Don’t buy an EV that isn’t at least one year old on the market or you will become their free of charge beta tester…

  • Pseudoscience is claiming something as fact when you have no evidence. Portraying an hypothesis as fact is an example of pseudoscience.

It isn’t the hypothesis that makes things scientific, it is the testing and falsification of the hypothesis that makes it scientific. No such has been done.

Until you have the evidence and results, all you have is a sophisticated guess.

I absolutely can dismiss every unproven hypothesis as pseudoscience if it is used as if it was a proven hypothesis. You should too.

  • According to the article there exists no evidence that it actually synthesis energy from the radiation. The title is a flat out lie. It is a hypothesis with zero evidence.

Also, it claims melanin that makes it dark, like our skin, is part of the synthesis, but an easier explanation is that it is there to protect against radiation, just like how melanin in our skin protects us from solar radiation.

The whole idea of “radio-synthesis” is pseudoscientific bullshit with nothing to back it up.

  • Probably the ‘uncanny valley’ effect. It is too real and jarring. I also think making a story out of the concept will be very difficult to make entertaining. People want things they can relate to. Men won’t be able to relate to it and just find it jarring and women will just read having period = being a monster and won’t appreciate the implication…

If you think something good can be made of it you have to write something yourself :/

  • I am longtime Firefox user and i diagree. Firefox will never be big or profitable and should double down on its fanbase. Being divergent from the norm is a feature not a bug. It is the reason people are still using it. Being non-profit and open source is the strength that will always keep it alive because its funders are its fans.

If a website stops working on Firefox I won’t use the website. If i really have to use the website I will switch to Vivaldi temporarily. If i have to use it regularly I’ll complain about it to the website support. Every time I use it.

It is worth being loyal to me for Firefox, because I am loyal to them. I won’t switch to chromium based browsers out of principle.

  • I mean yeah, I got to see that too. I just for some reason thought we knew better and that things would get better for the next generation. Instead I feel like everything is getting worse. Internet is the most prosperous curse humanity ever invented I feel like…

Everything and everyone can be accessed by anyone. Sounds great, until you realize this means pedophiles get access to kids, kids get access to horrible ideas and standards and sexual content everywhere. I guess the content is just a reflection of humanity and its desires, the good and the bad.

Or maybe I am just getting old, but it doesn’t seem the youths are happy about it either…

  • So women get that stuff too… That’s kind of what I was wondering, if it was just algorithms. Maybe that is just how social media are these days…

How can they allow this and not expect it to fuck up people? I am so so worried about my nieces when they grow older.

Their cousin, the same age as the older niece, used to be a soft and sensitive boy, but he is so hard and calloused now. He already has so many preconceived ideas about things. I feel like social media pulled him into the world of toxic masculinity before he even reached puberty.
