Its only admirable because the people he is in opposition of are even more shady and incompetent. A good lesson in choosing the right enemy.

I’m just thinking in big franchises, because I’m not a well-schooled film-nerd. But even I can think of a lot of examples of sequels better than the originals.
It’s a matter of taste, but I think Rocky 2 is the strongest film in the franchise. I think it’s more commonly believed that Aliens is a stronger film than Alien. Evil Dead 2 is better than Evil Dead, but that might not count since its a soft reboot. Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan is pretty much a classic example. Terminator 2 is a very different movie than Terminator 1, making comparison weird but it’s usually regarded as better. Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 is arguably stronger than Spider-Man, though obviously 3 was a bit of a mess.
Going to put this in a separate section. Admittedly, whether this should count is arguable. Still, If you count Marvel movies as direct sequels to others, it gets ridiculously easy: Thor: Ragnarok is so much better than all the other Thor movies its kind of nuts. Winter Soldier is stronger than First Avenger and Civil War might be better than both. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is the strongest film in that franchise.

Yeah I dont know how the army does it, but civilian aircraft would have to be “repaired” by being stripped and rebuilt or they’d never be considered flight ready. The distinction between destroyed and damaged is just the Air Force saving face.

Worlddata.info - Canada 26th in World Quality of Life index vs. US rank 38 IM Global Wealth News - 10th in quality of life, US not listed U.S. News - 4th overall to US third. Wagecenter.com - Canada has the highest rated standard of living, US not listed in the top 10 UN Happiness report - We’ve dropped to 18th, vs the US 24th.
It is absolutely not a stretch to say Canada is extremely successful. Perfection is an awful long way off, of course. Costs are up, happiness is down. American influence has caused a rise in right-wing hate groups. But I’ll repeat - the more socialist we lean, the better we seem to do.

I’m Canadian and my country is extremely successful. We’re also pretty socialist. Obviously socialism isnt a binary, but we have universal Healthcare, strong financial regulations, and a stronger more centralized federal government than the US. We’re doing very well, and the elements which cause us the most pain tend to be where we are more like the states, not where we’re more like Denmark.
You guys are wimps. (Dog guy gets partial points though, people are psychotic about their dogs). Here’s an actual hot take:
Sex drive, while a strong biological impulse in most people, is nowhere NEAR as powerful or persuasive as we are conditioned to believe. Its almost entirely cultural and formed from Movies, Porn, Advertising and just about every other media artificially elevating it.
Everything, from lighter fare like niche fetish communities, to dark shit like rape, sexual violence and, in some cases misogynistic violence aimed just at women in general, is escalated and enabled by a mass permission structure where we all are just told, and to some extent believe, that Sex is SO powerful. Men become easily manipulated puppets to demonic seductresses. Sexuality can damage reasoning ability. Without sexual release men inevitably become violent brutes. A million other stupid, widely believed things. They have a kernel of truth obviously but they are exaggerated in the extreme, usually to excuse poor behavior by men who are trained from a young age that they not only can, but should turn into a drooling gorilla at the sight of tits.
The internet isnt horny. Men aremt primarily sex-driven. Its all an artificial cultural construct designed to promote bad behavior.
