Very rarely. My sleep pattern fluctuates. When exhausted I find myself passing out early, say 8:30pm.

When I’m in night owl mode, I can be active until 11:50pm then wind down and be asleep before midnight.

I think I’m asleep in the split second before my head even touches the pillow.

Trusted professional career where as long as you get the work done, then if you start later, have a longer lunch or finish earlier every now and then no one bats an eye.

Witnessed a take away laksa being consumed in a cinema once. I’m sure the seats were never the same in a radius around the culprit.

The police can issue “yellow stickers” for illegal modifications including non compliant headlight modifications.

If given one, the vehicle has to go for inspection.

It happens, however it’s rare enough that it doesn’t really stop people doing stupid shit like fitting the wrong bulbs in the wrong housing or fitting LEDs with the power of 10 suns and fucking binding everyone.

I couldn’t stop laughing when one of my kids showed me a picture of his 10 year old friend’s effort with the texta. We are talking comical magician curly moustache. Roblox verified that account as 18 though and now that account can’t talk to his school friends.

No system is perfect.

As far as I’m aware there isn’t a massive problem with people having others take demerits for them. It’s more like the occasional thing someone might do to help a friend who is on their limit.

12 demerits and you lose your licence. No one can be consistently taking other’s money on exchange for demerits. You would lose your licence very fast.

Anyway, it’s only for automatic cameras. (Like speeding and red lights etc)

No faking who you are if caught by a traffic cop.

If the penalty is only monetary, then for the wealthy they just become minor inconveniences.

I would prefer not to be the victim of vehicular murder when I am walking across an intersection because some rich arsehole is late for the polo and a several thousand dollar fine is meaningless to them.

People still game the system to some extent, by making an agreement with mates to take demerits for them.

Where I am the owner of the vehicle can either reveal the true identity of the driver or they will cop the demerit points them selves.

The demerits will always be issued. *there is a loop hole for company vehicles where by the company can pay double the fine, but may also be subject to 5k fine if they don’t take reasonable steps to ID the driver.

Ironically I bought a cheap moto g because microslop intune settings where I work do not allow for Graphene os in the attestation check. Only use it when wfh so if I’m away from my desk I don’t miss teams calls and look like I’m doing laundry (which I probably am)

So I’m forced to use windows at work like the majority of my industry.

The start bar is still a thorn in my side since we switched from 10 to 11.

Standard office set up is 2 x 1920x1200 monitors and a 1920x1080 laptop. Some just leave the laptop shut when docked.

I preferred having it on a stand and using the lap top screen real estate.

In windows 10 I could make a monitor the primary and have a start bar only on the laptop. Not being able to do that in windows 11 is fucking annoying. They also fucked up auto hide start bar, it’s always jumping up for bullshit I don’t care about and not hiding when it should. I gave in and accepted I can’t have those bottom few lines of screen real estate because they are Microsoft’s.

As an engineer I do sometimes get feelings of imposter syndrome. But then I look at what Microsoft did to the start bar in windows 11 and think well at least I didn’t do that.

As far as laws regarding digital rights / freedoms go, we have no chance in Australia anyway as the major parties are all against them.

In fact the coalition has an even worse track record than labor.

Is there a setting that can be enabled at the management end to allow Graphene to pass the device health check?

When my employer rolled out intune I had to get a second device to run their ms apps. This was after them trying to figure out a way to get them to work on Graphene.

Tried ages ago. Meals were OK but quite basic.

Was not impressed with the quality and freshness of fruit and vegetables they supplied. Worse than supermarkets and not even comparable to farmers markets.
