Windows 12 will just be an AI prompt and nothing else. Everything must be done through Copilot. Want to install and launch a game? Ask Copilot to do it. Want to check your email? Ask Copilot to check your email for you. Want to watch some porn? Get denied by Copilot because Copilot isn’t allowed to do anything NSFW.

When your market share is a rounding error.

windows 11 eol
What? How can Windows 11 already be EOL? And just in a few months!?
Is there just not going to be any Windows anymore? Or are they planning a surprise release of Windows 12 (AI prompt only edition) within the next month or two?

because the software has matured so much and Windows and OSX are enshittifying.
Honestly, this is the reason I like Linux so much better.
Corpo OSes tend to get worse with every update. But Linux gets better with every update.

It would be quite a flex to use these to clamp your car’s radiator hose, though.

Unless you’re going to kill America before the next election, you should still be voting for harm reduction.

How about fucking dismantling that damn train? Blow it up? Replace it and the entire system instead of insisting on using the “Global South-Mower”?
Okay, go ahead.
What? You don’t want to do that yourself? You want me to do it and get myself killed?

What will it take to get people to switch from Windows to Linux?
Windows just keeps getting worse and worse. Give it time.

Nah. If he was, he’d probably be smarter and more professional about it.

At this point, I’m kind of convinced that this guy has dozens of alts.

Yeah … Linux would be your friend here.
My laptop is a shitty old chromebook from 2016 that was low-spec even at that time. 2-core CPU, 4GB total RAM, 14GB total storage(!). But I’ve got a chromebook-specific Linux distro on it, and it works great even in 2026, does everything I need it to, and never even feels slow or laggy. (Also has astounding battery life as well, oddly enough. ~17 hours, with the original 2016 battery.)
I don’t know what ‘resource-intensive tasks’ you need to do, but if you want to free up hardware on an old, low-spec machine, Linux is your best and only friend.

Have you tried dying your hair a crazy color? They hate that.
That’s a unit patch, though.

so unless you have a super strong magnet extremely close to the electronics you should be fine.
And, really, when it comes to general electronics that aren’t CRT screens or hard drives, it’s not the strength of the magnet that ultimately matters – it’s how quickly and how intensely the magnetic field changes.
Changes in magnetic field will induce currents in any nearby conductive material, including the circuit board traces and wires of any electronic device. If a strong enough magnetic field changes fast enough, the induced currents will be higher than the components can handle and damage the device. Small, weak magnets are unlikely to ever be a problem, since you’d have to get them moving very fast in order to reach that damage threshold. But, on the other side of the magnetic power spectrum, even extremely strong magnets won’t cause damage as long as they’re moved slowly relative to the device. The more powerful the magnet, the slower you need to be in order to avoid damage.
reddit will not allow a non-compromised sub to exist.

Dale explained that Flock cameras had been instrumental in a To Catch a Predator style sting operation Irmo PD conducted. “During an internet crimes against children operation hosted by a department, 15 adults traveled to our community believing they were coming to meet children for sexual activity," Dale said. “Fourteen of those 15 suspects were not from our jurisdiction.”
This really doesn’t explain how the cameras were useful for that.
Why would you need cameras for that?
It also doesn’t help that out of people who have heard of reddit, it often has a bad reputation.
Reddit has the reputation of being the social media site for incels, nerds, misogynists, and creeps. Barely one step above 4-chan. Which means there’s a significant portion of potential users out there who have heard or reddit, but would never go there because they don’t like the idea of going to such a place. Whether or not that reputation is truly earned is maybe up for debate, but these people will never go there to find out if it’s true or not, because they’re avoiding it to begin with, based on reputation.
