Substack is WIP I do not read replies from randos on the internet, unless I was specifically asking about something. Go touch grass.

  • I have less to say about the tech side than I do about this whole forced mass adoption of LLMs and how I’ve seen people react to it doing things.

I agree that they’re unethically made by stealing data. That’s indisputable. What I fail to grasp is what the purpose of hating a technology is. Blame and responsibility are weird concepts. I’m not knowledgeable in philosophy or anything related to this. What I can tell, however, is that hating on the tech itself distracts people from blaming those actually responsible, the humans doing the enshittification. The billionaires, dictators…

(tangent) and I’d go as far as to say anyone who politically represents more people than they know personally is not the type of politician that should be allowed. Same if they have enough power to violence a lot of people. But this is just my inner anarchist speculating how an ethical society with limited hierarchy might work.

There’s the pointless blame game, y’all play when your “democracy” fails again and again and again. When the fuck are you stupid Americans gonna figure out what the rest of the world knows from the USA spreading “freedom” and “democracy”? You have no one to blame but yourself, bud.

  • This is an element of my novel series’ setting. I’m not trying to advertise it, but if you want more details, and how to access my so far only published book, DM me. I will warn you that only after publishing 1st edition did I realize how important accessibility is. The subject matter is confusing without my old writing style already. The only people who finished it are writers who knew to move on if they didn’t understand something, while my relatives gave up after the first page.

The way I interpreted demons or devils is based on Islamic myths. “Jinn” or “spirit” is the term I use for all such creatures. “Demons” or “devils” are those antagonized by angels, or are spirits that actively oppose them. According to the myth, humans, jinm, and other intelligent creatures that supposedly lived on earth, all have free will, while angels do not. I don’t see my demons as a manifestation of evil, but people with flaws. Angels, however, I’ve discovered are evil themselves, but believe their collective decisions are completely justifiable. They only appear as good cause they’re overall very good at PR and propaganda.

As for stuff outside of my work, I’ve been told Lord of Light has a similar vibe to my book. God’s Demon is a book about demons aka fallen angels going to war in hell. I didn’t entirely like kt though and did not read the sequel. I found some of its ideas interesting enough to finjsh the first book at least.

I’ll reply to this if I think of more. I have one or two artbooks in mind, but I don’t remember their names.

  • Smartphones have other uses, but more importantly forcing anyone to comply with this rule is gonna make them want to disobey more. It’s the responsibility of the education system to educate ofc but also streamline education, make it easier. Keep their attention. If the kids aren’t distracted by their phones while they hate their school, I guarantee you they’ll find other ways to distract themselves. I’d be maybe fine with banning certain apps. I always say smartphones aren’t addictive, they’re useful. It’s apps that are designed to be addictive.

  • The whole human shields thing is such an obvious lie, but they still use it to justify it. Any pretense that there is doubt is good enough.

It’s obvious because the IDF clearly doesn’t care about Palestinians dying. So why would Hamas use Palestinians instead of the Israelis they kidnapped? Well, cause the IDF will shoot and bomb the hostages too.
