  • We can argue about 7 and 10 as well. 7 was “loved” only in comparison and because xp support was starting to end and many people were soft forced to upgrade and 7 was just the only viable choice left over before Linux. Same with 10, support for 7 was ending and people were forced to cross over to 10.

Currently same is happening with 10 and 11 is being avoided like wildfire, so once again people assume 12 is going to be good, which heavily depends how much is Microsoft going to pander to AI, as some leaks have come out that 12 is heavily AI focused, obviously these being leaks so take those with a grain of salt.

In addition nowadays linux has made decent progress and is an actually viable choice to avoid being forced to cross over to 12 and making 12 look good.

  • Kinda curious does the same principle apply in other aspects of life?

Like in career when women gets to some higher position than a dude or when lifting weights and a women lifts more than some guy.

Wondering because i could expand the “skill issue” into so many new fields and just piss off quite a few guys.

  • I wouldn’t say i enjoy or like it to a degree of liking a hobby, but the job suits me and has more benefits to my daily functioning than negatives, besides the paycheck.
I do like the steady and stable routine work provides.
I can listen to audiobooks without any issues and theres minimal interaction with others and the ones i do chat with are mostly friends, some of them already before working there.
The physical and active nature of the job is decent as well, yes i might be physically more tired, but I’ve tried sitting still in front of a computer screen. That type of a work just drains me completely, which doesn’t make sense as theres minimal movement. Half the time it’s just struggling trying to stay awake.

Biggest downside is probably the working schedule running in weekly rotating shifts.

  • Yeah sure, liposuction exists and you should be able to recover in a month as well. GLPs exist as well, but you wouldn’t lose that much. With laxatives you could lose enough body water as well, not bodyfat, but still weight.

As for avarage person, under normal circumstances and doing it sustainably. Basically no.

The 5 miles of walking is roughly around a full sized Snicker bar. “You can never outrun a bad diet”

Losing roughly 1% of bodyweight per week is the upper limit of sustainable fat loss.

Though a month is a good timeframe to make a start. Don’t think of it as dieting as it will give you an expression that your doing it temporarily, see it more as a lifestyle change. First start tracking your weight. 2-3 times a week, under same conditions aka first thing in the morning after taking a leak, use avarage numbers. At the same time reduce the amount of beer your drinking, just an easy way to reduce caloric intake without a hit to nutrient intake. After a month see how the bodyweight has shifted, at first probably quitting beer is enough to start it to shift downwards, then just keep it up and have patience. Weight loss is measured on a scale of weeks to months. Personally i lost nearly 15+kg over the course of half a year by just quitting beer and not even doing anything else.
