So I knew about the concept behind XY problems. They come up in my job quite frequently. I didn’t know the phenomenon had a name. And I have to say, that’s one of the least helpful names for things like that.

And the company is based in Malta

I’m testing Wekan in a volunteer project. It gets the job done, but it’s rough around the edges and I wouldn’t use it with people who don’t necessarily know what they are doing. It works in a mobile browser, but it’s no joy to use it there.

What does Radicale do that Nextcloud doesn’t with CalDAV and CardDAV?

My experience as well, though you might take a look at the recent fluffy chat 2.0 release. It is the closest to a usable client.

But I agree and it’s baffling to me how a project backed by so many organisations and a considerable amount of cash fails to deliver even a decent user experience.
