Nothing is in the cloud, but what if someone else creates an instance hosted in a cloud service? And what difference does that even make? It’s not like data scrapers can’t go and see everything available to the public.

Except here, the warehouse, is in cloud infrastructure with international redundancy. It would take a hell of a team of hackers to burn that down.

You wouldn’t believe the push they have for EVs in Europe. The US and Canada are lagging so far behind because of the oil lobby its not even a joke.

AI is not the problem. It’s the people and companies behind the popular public AI services that are the problem.

That would be possible but unlikely. If the system fails then the driver can’t use their car. What if they’re an emergency? That wouldn’t pass.

There’s probably a fuse for the system. Unless it’s integrated in the whole media system.

I bet the system would sound an alarm if you did that.

Just a fair warning, PikaOS is a hobby project. The authors of this distribution make it very clear with a warning message when you install it. They’ll try to maintain it as best they can, but provide no guarantee.

It’s nice for messing around or if it’s for a dedicated gaming PC or device, but it’s a terrible idea as a daily driver.

Is your PC going to be a gaming-centric PC? Or are you planning on doing other things like work or other stuff?

There’s plenty of gaming-focused distros out there. Some easier and some harder to understand.

From your hardware You’d probably be good with something like Linux Mint or Zorin OS. They’re Ubuntu based and are pretty solid and easy to use. They support your hardware out of the box. Kubuntu might be a good choice too if you want a more windows-y experience with more customization options. I personally have Kubuntu and my 8bitdo controllers work without a hitch via bluetooth. I play mostly indie games and a few AAA titles from Steam, GOG and Epic via the Heroic launcher as well and have had zero issues.

If you REALLY want a gaming-focused distro, you’ll have to go with a Fedora based distro then. Something like Nobara.

But you want to avoid less stable distros like Arch-based ones. Like Cachy OS. Those might end up being more of a headache than anything with problems occurring after updates and a malware-infested 3rd party software repo.

Well with Ubuntu LTS I never had HDR as a feature to begin with lol. So I didn’t have to worry about it.

I have an NVidia 3070 RTX and never had any single problems. I really never had problems with NVidia at all on Ubuntu, ever. I always stuck with LTS versions though.
