7·6 days agonot sure what the english term for them is
US/CA calls them Low Speed Vehicles or LSVs.
They are mostly useless for your average person here, as they can’t (legally) keep up with traffic speeds on the majority of city streets and aren’t allowed on our incredible excess of highways. You still need a full license too.
There is only one domestic manufacturer I believe, which mostly sells them to universities and as golf carts

262·6 days agoIf I correctly remember euro LSV law, this puts France in the interesting position of their children being allowed to drive certain types of car at 14 but not allowed online until 15
A great many reasons, but one that gets overlooked is the influence of an Austrian economist who firmly believed university should be out of the reach of the poor, a philosophy which many, particularly Republicans, seem to have swallowed whole.
This is blow molding, more common for soda bottles. Closed-top boats like kayaks are typically rotomolded instead.

6·5 months agoneighbor farmer dares to plant non patented seed, and the wind blows his neighbors Monsanto pollen (corn is wind pollinated) into his field and it pollinates his crop, he is now in patent violation of a company he has no business with that is now going to aggressively come after him in court.
so it is like AI - it spreads everywhere and creates a lot of legal problems
