it’s just a shame that a majority of the world uses it for communicatiom. My family switched to Signal a few years ago, but had to switch back to WA because we had to talk to the relatives who were still on WA. too many of them to convince to switch to Signal, and unlikely to work even if we tried. similar to OP, not all are tech savvy but can use WA. I tried getting my family to go back to signal, but no dice. eventually I gave up. I’ve heard that Europe is looking to switch away from Meta products, at least that is happening though.

2·2 个月前Outside of SteamOS idk if Linux (not Android) had slick console/SmartTV-like DEs/system-wide GUIs. But since the problem is on the surface, I believe there are some who tried, or configured/themed their environment to act like it. kde-bigscreen is available, and has that sort of ui, but does require some setup. Also don’t know how available it is. I believe it is already in some repos.

I would just like to add that there is a school (I think in California) that the rich sends their kids to, where electronic devices are prohibited (and access restricted I believe). Though from the video, it does look lie the interact with others outside of that circle.

There are remotes for PC. I have one right now, and they are pretty cheap in Amazon. One nice thing is that they can also do limited control of the TV (through IR, obv).
One thing to keep in mind is that most identity not all of these remotes have a gyro mouse.

same here!
