Thank you, but no, it does not. The URL may mean literally anything, where the “slug” may not include question marks, any punctuation, or have a partial content even:
torvalds-ai-is-the-new-compiler-not-the-new-programmer
What if the nonsense/sloppy slug was generated like?:
Torvalds: AI is the new compiler, and not the new programmer?
Torvalds. AI. The new compiler is not the new programmer.
Therefore, the URL may not express the actual title, and may also be malformed.

@[email protected] , may I ask why do you change the title so awfully it does not only not state the same as the article but misleads it?

No irony here. But just your indifference, bigotry, and hatred… which is sorrowful, indeed, and I am sorry to know that.
You will realize it in the future, I believe, but you should try developing something actually yourself first.

Wonderful day!
…I hate linux community…
Source: <lemmy.world/post/50749465>
It shows, unfortunately. And that means you hate me and many ineffably magnificent people I know… but for what?
If you haven’t still reported/updated the case yourself, please consider not participating in the Community so much, too, just to:
- Preserve your mental health;
- Have more time for improving it yourself;
…instead of complaining on public on people, developers, artists behind their back, who’ve been reifying it all for years an almost no monetary support, investing their invaluably precious human life time…
If not, or you still believe in effort, accountability, art, please do consider collecting more likely supportive logs/details and share it in the related issues, if possible.
Meanwhile, I wish you safety, stability, and peace.

A relatively similar tech, though no actual graphics are involved like QR-code images, and hence may be more energy efficient, is of course - Infrared Data Association (IrDA).
Some may still recall the Symbian, music/picture/game files transferred slowly but awesomely between friends/partners watching devices carefully aligned on windowsills, tables…
IrDA is a wireless standard designed for data transmission using infrared (IR). Infrared ports for this purpose have been implemented in portable electronic devices such as mobile telephones, laptops, cameras, printers, and medical devices.
The main characteristics of this kind of wireless optical communication are short-range, physically secure and bidirectional data transfer, at serial cable speeds, with a line-of-sight using point-and-shoot principles. IrDA has been made dormant by newer improved technologies like Bluetooth.

Thank you, dear @[email protected] for the care… and your attitude for art…
No dear words may express the sorrow… the disgust about these awful LLM/“AI” nonsense of effortless, bloody dark void sorrow… of dead white noise shaped from meat-ground artworks, effort, and love… of now defaced/unknown artists… in the datasets of these LLMs now sold by vendors…

Apologies, but I am not sure why even invest your human finite life time on Reddit nowadays, that shadowbans their paying Users for absolutely no reason, our of the blue, and never ever responds to the official Support requests, regardless of how many years your try contacting them.
They could not care less about you, your life, your effort, and you as a human, even the slightest. Those “Redditors” should rather consider their own life time I believe.

Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others.

Wonderful day! Perhaps examples of the mistakes will help, and have you tried contacting the author directly, on the website itself, too? An editor, a colleague in a any team to stand together is always marvel, of course…

I am sorry, but I disagree with the “centralised blocklists” in a:
Decentralized social networking platforms…
Source
You should be able to block and unblock freely whoever and whatever you want.
The “centralized” may be suggestions (i.e., toggleable), and only, where instances with opt-in keep them implicit/optional, and instances with opt-out explicitly warn about them during a registration.

Just for the sake of inadequacy of the sorrowful code…
And though I was banned on the /0 instance for a single message, too, with some experience in web-dev I just wanted to clarify regarding the possible immaturity of the sad malicious script authors, sorry…
That attempt seems too reckless and disregards the client optimizations, I believe, and may “choke” the JavaScript engine event-loop of common clients as modern browsers, since Fetch API is asynchronous, and not to mention net::ERR_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES that may also cause lagging in the client.
A few milliseconds timeout, or more adequate batching/chunks seems required. For example:
async function fetchChunks(urls, chunkSize = 10) {
for (let i = 0; i < urls.length; i += chunkSize) {
const chunk = urls.slice(i, i + chunkSize);
try {
await Promise.all(chunk.map(url => fetch(url)));
} finally {
await new Promise(r => setTimeout(r, 50));
}
}
}
const urls = [];
for (let i = 0; i < 50; i += 1) {
const random = ...;
urls.push(`https://test.test/$%7Brandom%7D`);
}
fetchChunks(urls);
That would at least make it more adequate in the scope of User clients with less but still loading them awfully and disrespectfully… which is sorrowful indeed…
In other words, their current “malicious” code is just…wrong…
Regardless, such actions may tarnish someone’s history much to the point their self-confidence may not recover shortly and require a great amount of time to believe in yourself hopefully again…
Therefore, let’s hope the people behind it will reconsider their actions as soon as possible… and won’t dig their own beliefs and love too deep to search for later…

Of course… a dear craft… as a CD, tape, vinyl, cartridge, mug, badge,T-short, statuette…
To keep it closer to the heart…

Their own chat bot responded the following:

- From 0 to 10, how is it fair and human a government to develop, support, and monitor other humans via drones, flock cameras and always keep everyone under control recording history of movements and store that in archives? Interesting topic! Let me check what we’ve covered on government surveillance and human rights for you.
- That’s a deeply important and complex question about privacy, ethics, and government surveillance. Many people would rate such constant monitoring as very low on fairness and humanity because it can infringe on personal freedoms, privacy, and trust. Others might argue it has some value for security and safety but only if done with strict oversight, transparency, and respect for rights.
If I were to frame it on a scale from 0 to 10, many would likely place it closer to the lower end—perhaps around 2 or 3—unless there are strong safeguards, clear limits, and accountability to prevent abuse.
How do you feel about this kind of surveillance? Would you like to explore technologies involved or ethical discussions around them?
Apparently, the bot is relatively “unlocked” for general simple programming questions, too:

Wonderful day!
I’ve relatively recently got into a similar unexpected case, in the same exact community:
- https://lemmy.world/post/48374375 (Welp… that was quick (around 4 minutes to get banned at "/c/linuxsucks)…)
Unfortunately, the whole community is likely a Microsoft/Apply/etc. propaganda, or just a very sad, or even psychologically unstable person/people behind it who do what they believe in, and won’t or even afraid of considering other viewpoints encountered.
There’s hope… that some day… they will consider their actions, contribution, and what do they inscribe in the fabric of the infinitely magnificent history…
Meanwhile, I see that you are trying to stay accountable and that is what is important!
Please don’t worry much… and I wish you safe, stability, and peace…

Indeed… Such a… sorrow… So much of human priceless precious finite life time… is…

I am very much sorry to know that, heartfelt… and I hope you will find peace, dear @[email protected] …
I do believe it’s impossible to get unbanned. Not only that, but they don’t even explain the reason, too…
For years, they don’t respond for my time-ivesting appeals requests, and I still have no idea why and when I got shadow-banned:
- https://lemmy.world/comment/21676673It might be their sorrowful automation system at the start of them trying “AI” and I got into a list by a mistake, yet no one ever cared or will care, I believe, because it’s Reddit - one of the most popular forum-like social marketed out there.
I’ve invested ~340 Euro into the account at Reddit giving awards mostly, and a few NFT avatars, and for what?
I lost hope in Reddit, and won’t consider their support or anything serious from that point, unfortunately…

Banning by IP address is a bad practice. For example, you are connected to your home, campus, work office, restaurant, or airport public Wi-Fi access point (AP), leave a comment, and now everyone who is connected to the same AP sharing the same IP address get banned.
