Does it really worth yo keep Media Box off and turning on only when needed? I think you’re just unnecessarily complicating things

What about android TV?

Uh! Plebbit, crypto and nft. I’ll stay as far as I can.

I also think that’s more a disadvantage than other thing.

44 KHz wasn’t chosen randomly. It is based in the range of frequencies that humans can hear (20Hz to 20KHz) and the fact that a periodic waveform can be exactly rebuild as the original (in terms of frequency) when sampling rate is al least twice the bandwidth. So, if it is sampled at 44KHz you can get all components up to 22 KHz whics is more that we can hear.

Why would you want to send SMS from your computer? 🤷♂️

Literally objectively

I think that we should try to not create the same community in different instances, instead of that we should look for that community in existing instances and join it. So far I’ve realized the short time I’ve been in Lemmy, you can cross post between different instances and the local instance will show you if a post is also published in another known instance.
IMO that’s not a hidden cost. That’s a decision you made. The actual hidden cost is the electricity and time you spend by configuring and mantaining your services.
