I’m glad I started converting all my amazon books long ago. When I finally got a Kobo last month, there were no issues since the work was done.

Ah ok, I hadn’t looked into the details as I was already interested in moving away. For me, I’m still set on moving away, as I know that it’s easier to avoid buying on Amazon if I just have a different device.
From what I’ve heard, the newest generation doesn’t show up as an external drive when you plug it into a computer.
I’ve been using Kindle Paperwhite since 2013. The hardware is fantastic, but their locked down nature is less than amazing. I’m currently looking at options for upgrading and moving away from the kindle ecosystem, and the the Kobo Clara BW is a compelling option. Or maybe wait and see if a new BW Libra comes out.

I started with a book about Red Hat 5.x that included a cd with the OS. I generally went back to Windows after a while (except i did run a server on an old pc for quite a while), but tried I again every few years.
I always liked the idea of Linux, but gaming kept making me go back to Windows. Early last year I tried installing EndeavourOS alongside windows and have stuck with it since. My new PC that I got later that same year has never seen windows.
I’m loving it, and don’t foresee a return to Windows.
I bought a 7800x3d, so I’m not in the market for a new CPU for years to come. If I hadn’t already bought it, I’d buy it now.

Or as I’ve seen when they have got the lowered speed because of roadworks, but then keep the low speed after everything is finished. No, I think I can drive faster than 50kmh on the motorway.
The maximum allowed in Denmark at least is 32mg/100ml so that seems to be what most of them target here.

I can second the reliability of Asus. Mine is five years old now, and still going strong.
Interesting! I just recently upgraded my old 6" Kindle to a 7" Kobo. I’m very happy about it, and the extra size is nice. If a more portable reader that doesn’t compromise on screen size exists when I’m ready to upgrade next I’m all for it
