Note about the network: it really doesn’t matter how fast your server can go if the rest of the stuff connected to it can’t also handle it.
You have a server with a 10 gigabit network port, you also need the cabling, router, switches, and other hardware that can handle 10 gigabit.

I’m not at all defending this asinine “solution” to school shootings, however eight minutes could be a significant amount of lives saved.

How do you know Lemmchen is interested in Steam?

Game changer is a great way to phrase it. It’s no exaggeration to say it changed my partner and my lives. It gave us the confidence to save for and buy a house. I’ve never felt more in control of my finances before.

Or secure, often.

I mean, not quite the same logic. The tariffs that Nintendo paid were deemed illegal. The price consumers paid was not deemed to be illegal. At least, not yet, as the case is ongoing.
I hate genAI, but this is dangerous. I’m a writer and I’ve had my stuff accused of being genAI when it’s not. And there was an incident several years ago on a prominent art subreddit where an artist was banned for posting AI art, and when the artist proved it wasn’t by sending layer files, the mod upheld the ban and told the artist they should change styles because it “looked” like genAI. It’s not a great feeling.
TOS get rewritten way more often than once every ten to twenty years lol, that it really not a big deal.
I may be mistaken, but I had looked into Paperless before and saw they had AI features before this. Is it just more, or more in your face? I was under the impression they were optional, at least when I looked into it.

Yes, although frankly it’s really fucking hard to name anything that isn’t these days. Like, you probably can’t even go grocery shopping without some of that money finding us way to alt right politics.

Can I have it download videos discriminately? For example, exclude live streams, ignore videos under 2 minutes, only download videos from 2025, only download videos uploaded on Mon-Fri? Furthermore could I have it download one playlist from a channel in 1080p, and a separate playlist from a channel in 720p?

The one I’m talking about runs in Docker and will auto download from a channel or playlist based on all kinds of rules and filters you set up. I use it up scrape favourite channels automatically every other day. Downloads them into a folder monitored by Jellyfin.

I have been using YouTube DL.

Only using Mealie as a recipe manager at the moment. Haven’t used the meal planner function. Sounds interesting though and might give it a try.

Economical, environmental, ethical. How can it be used responsibly when the Earth is burning and making it required pilfering the sum total of human knowledge and creativity for private profit?

They’re not disconnected from reality. They are liars, cheaters, thieves, and crooks.

I prefer a GUI when possible.
There are good mobile first games, but you definitely need to cut through the slop to find them. One thing that helps is just completely ignoring free games and looking at the actual paid ones. Then skip any games you are aware of that are on other consoles, because those are likely to be ports (which to be clear, are often great, but not if you are looking to avoid controller touch controls as you are).
Some of my favs in the past have been Card Thief, and every other game by the same dev; most of Kairosoft stuff, though they did a free to play period of releases so I’d avoid those; Monument Valley; Reign and its spin offs; Vampire Survivors, even though it’s free; Professor Layton series even though they are ports; there’s others, this is just off the top of my head.
