I disagree. AI is enabling doing things that are not worth paying a human to do, yet still have value. the question is, whether the infrastructure costs can realign to hit that sweet spot.

In Colorado at least, you’d get a ticket for not having physical light covers installed on any lights other than your standard headlights and (possibly, I can’t remember the details) fog lights. light bars and anything else had to be covered if you were on a public road. I know of at least one case of a person actually receiving a ticket for it. that should be a law everywhere.

that’s a trivial problem to solve. combine this with a camera for facial recognition in a public space. then you’ve got wifi signature combined with the photo/video for facial recognition. then presumably you can use the WiFi signature anywhere else, even without the camera and be able to identify people.

I suspect that both things are true. the tool does find security issues, and they wildly over hyped what it’s finding for marketing purposes.

as far as I know, a similar ban on new models of drones still stands after several months.
