Linux@lemmy.ml•"Windows" process using too much Memory (Dual boot setup)
4·4 months agoI do use dual boot, but still have Winboat on the Linux side because some windows specific apps that aren’t demanding. The ones that are demanding in performance are the ones that I use on Windows natively.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why aren't Chinese people afraid of US companies collecting their data?
42·4 months agoBecause they’re probably dealing with their version of surveillance from CCP. It would be interesting to hear conversations from privacy experts and advocates over there, and share experiences of what we’re all dealing with.
Try this! Fusion360 for Linux - project by Cryinkfly. I’ve seen it work for some people but I havent gotten it to work well for me.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you track the progress of show you watch?
1·5 months agoi know it lacks shows, and is owned by a holding company, but i use Letterboxd. My 🚬 cinephile friends are there, so its cool to see what we log. I read that the platform is trying to cover shows as well as movies, but it is still noticeably lacking shows.
fairphone and framework off the top of my head

There’s a reason why they drugged soldiers in war. It sucks :/ they think of us as disposable once they fill us with patriotism propaganda.

True, it became an international citizen like all libre software. Im just proud that it was born in Mexico, in Latin America not much public recognition is had for local software. There’s a perception that most services are from abroad. Thats why i phrased the original post title like that (cross posted). More like a “if it had a nationality, it would be mexican” kinda thing.
