I’ve been using Bluesky. It has gotten a lot busier since Musk did the Nazi Salute
You don’t have to even disable it, just turn off voice commands. You can still activate it by pushing a button. Personally Ive been using Bing chat over Google assistant for a few months now.
Wastewater Operator. We have an older gentleman at my job who refuses to use computers at all. We still do everything with paper and pen. Nothing is digitized.

For now. The important thing is that there is an alternative place for people to go when Reddit does things they don’t like. Everytime Reddit does something that angers their users this place will grow.
Can I get YouTube AdBlock and can I add custom filter lists?
I had a Nexus 10 they abandoned after two years. Made me never want to spend money on an android tablet again. Honestly I would probably switch to iOS if I could have ad blockers.
Yeah I think iPad’s are clearly better than any android tablet.

Don’t you think people will switch from threads to Mastodon? I think there are allot of people who would rather not have Meta’s app installed on their phone.
Isn’t threads a Twitter clone? Will it even effect Lemmy? For me personally I don’t use Mastodon, but I might if threads is successful. I use Twitter to follow famous people I like. If famous people move to the fediverse because of threads that will only make sites like Mastodon better in my opinion.
Yeah I think In a year or two this will be just as good as Reddit, maybe better. Personally I prefer Lemmy, it reminds me of Reddit before it gained mass appeal. The important thing is now there is a viable alternative to Reddit. Everytime Reddit does something controversial, this site will gain a wave of new users.
Or just force all Louisiana onto a server not hosted in US. What could they do?
I only use it when I’m on desktop. Their mobile app isn’t bad in my opinion, but I just refuse to give them my data.
I work a union job, most people never leave. Usually the old guys retire in waves though. They’ve all known each other for decades and don’t want to have to have to train the next generation.
I’m on Lemm.ee it’s been good to me. Ran smooth during the migration.
I chose Lemmy.ee largely because they are federated with every major instance.
Gotta post content and engage with the small communities to help them grow I guess. Since I’ve started a few weeks ago I’ve seen new communities spring up everywhere. Hopefully in time whatever you are missing will come to Lemmy.
LDS has a ton of money. They already have some kind of deal with ancestry.com and own familysearch.com.
