I’m not upset. I’m glad I finally have an excuse to quit using reddit in any form.

The current default web experience for reddit loads about four comments when you click through to a subreddit. It requires to click again to load a few more comments. And again and again.

They made it worse for human because of bots/ai … both which they espouse.

reddit is just another instagram, now.

Love when companies teach the point of control-freaking themselves out of business - it gives everybody a chance to start anew with better options.

Doesn’t change anything for me as I a) intentionally don’t interact much with reddit anymore and b) am a VPN used and have to login because of that anyway.

But yes, reddit has gone to shit a long time ago.

  • I hope libreddit doesn’t die or any of it’s instances because holy there’s so many games that I play that I look to Reddit for to see community stuff (while reddit isn’t exactly the full representation, a lot of the time, in my specific culture, there’s really no choice except twitter/x or… god forbid, facebook for such content), I wish I had free time to maintain and post about stuff but a game lurker doesn’t exactly ripe well for a community…
