The idea that you only need one at the front or the back seems crazy to me.
In Ontario, we have no visible licence plate validation and most of the plates are illegible because of a corrupt deal between the government and 3M.
Not in US, not in Canada, but police stopped working in 2020. They figured out the get paid just as much.
